Kern Text

Step One) Click on your text tool and type our your text. Make it the size, font, colors, etc. that you want.

Step Two) Before you add any strokes, do this step. After you make your text how you want it with the font, colors, and size. Click on the little folder thing:

Step Three) When you click that, it will open up two little icons on the side. One looks like an A and the other is a paragraph thing. Select the one that looks like an A.

Step Four) A little box will pop up when you click the icon that looks like an A. On the little box, there’s a few different things to look at there, different ways to stylize your text. There is one that has an A and V and there’s an arrow under it going right and left. That’s where we are going to change the number.

Step Five) In the screenshot above, I outlined what you should be changing and where you should be at. In the box that has ‘-100′, if you make that number a negative, it’ll get closer together. If you make the number a positive number, ex: ’100′, then the spacing between the letters will get farther apart.

Step Six) When you get your text kerned how you’d like it, Then you’re done! :) I hope this tutorial helped. Please comment if it did.
